Peer Mentoring

Volunteer to be a Peer Mentor

Do you receive social care direct payments?

Would you like to use your skills and experience in a volunteering role to support others?

We are looking for volunteers (called Peer Mentors) who can provide this support to people new to direct payments or feel less confident with the management of a direct payment.

All Peer Mentors will receive training and support from Cambridgeshire Alliance for Independent Living.

The aim is that, with the right support from Peer Mentors, people will have increased confidence, skills and knowledge to successfully manage their own social care direct payments and make the choices that are right for them.

Peer Mentors will be able to develop new social networks and able to talk with people who, like them, have a lived experience of disability and the issues it raises.
